Welcome to Worcestershire book

CGM was commissioned to write Welcome to Worcestershire by Kingfisher Guides in 2019 and updated the book in summer 2021.

The hardback book is placed in hotels across the county to inspire visitors to make the most of their stay in the region. Chapters cover Worcestershire’s history, tourist attractions, shopping, nightlife, sport, arts and culture, eating out and surrounding areas of interest including Shakespeare Country, Herefordshire and Birmingham.

Teresa, who has lived in the county for more than 30 years, said: “Writing this book during an English summer was a real treat. There are so many fascinating places to explore on our doorstep.”

Experienced author and former Radio 5 Live and Radio 4 broadcaster Chris, who was born and bred in Worcester, added: “As a Worcestershire Ambassadors member, I’m proud to promote the county as a great place to live, work and spend leisure time. Being involved with Welcome to Worcestershire has confirmed just how much residents and businesses have to shout about.”
