Worcester’s oldest law firm has become the first in the city to achieve a prestigious industry quality mark for its wills and inheritance work.
HallmarkHulme is now accredited by the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS), which acknowledges the 224-year-old firm’s adoption of best practice procedures in delivering wills and probate advice.
The scheme aims to benefit consumers by ensuring they understand the issues to consider when preparing a will and the procedures involved when dealing with estate administration.
HallmarkHulme partner and head of private client Trish Venables oversaw the rigorous application process, which took two months to complete.
“We had to make sure that not only do we have the necessary expertise to deliver wills and inheritance advice but we can also reassure clients that we will give them the information they need to understand the process, options, costs and timescales from the outset,” said Mrs Venables, who heads up a team of six wills, inheritance and estate administration specialists at the Sansome Place based practice.
“Accreditation is not something that is granted and forgotten about – it has to be renewed every year. Existing and prospective clients can be assured we’ll be working hard to ensure that we continue to meet the scheme’s strict criteria.”
