CGM blog: Sharpen multi-media skills to develop your profile

balogo 2So what is the Business Leaders Media Academy all about – and who is it for?

Well, if you’re an entrepreneur, business owner, CEO – or the public face of your organisation – then having the skills to provide conspicuous leadership is the key to success and developing your own profile, writes Chris Green.

For some time we have realised there is a real and genuine benefit for aspiring leaders to sharpen multi-media skills that will enable them to represent their organisation proficiently – whether it is a speech or presentation to a specific audience or a quality broadcast media interview. Get good at this and you can become a respected ‘go-to’ expert voice for your industry.

So we wanted to develop a regular club – an academy which meets six times per year – for people like you.

Set in a fun and convivial networking environment, the academy will unite like-minded professionals and executives seeking to hone their media and communications skills and enjoy the experience of sharing and growing together (always the best way to learn).

Having the close, personal attention of our ‘been there, done that’ media training experts throughout is an advantage too.

It’s a bit like having a golf bag of finely honed communications skills at your disposal – a confident speech here, a media interview there, the skill and knowledge to manage a media crisis, how to write incisive blogs or appear in video presentations. The options are endless.

At CGM we’ve carefully created the Business Leaders Media Academy to be an experience. A nice lunch and personal portfolio are important features too.

It’s about learning to get your message out there – telling a great business story – and creating a higher profile. Diverse skills developed in a regular training ‘club’ environment.

Your main trainers will be Chris Green and Tom Watt, who each have many years of broadcast media and communications experience between them. They are ably supported by former ITN cameraman Graham Essenhigh, who is an essential part of the team.

CGM’s other experts: Stuart Clarke on visual branding, Brendan McMahon on creative design and editorial partner, Teresa Green, will make up the wider delivery team.

Ultimately the Business Leaders Media Academy is about you – people with the ambition to achieve, develop and grow – who aim to up their game so they can represent their organisation more effectively in the public eye.

Chris Green is an award-winning author and broadcaster – and managing partner of Chris Green Media – which inspires organisations to communicate better by connecting deeper.

We provide communications coaching, media training, inspirational events, media relations and creative services.
