13 Oct Second city businesses urged to bang the drum for Brum
West Midlands companies are being urged to speak up for the region, for their industry and for their own business.
The CGM Business Media Club, a monthly communications club which focuses on media training, personal development and quality networking, is hosting a special ‘Bang the drum for Brum’ meeting at Longbridge Innovation Centre on Friday, October 23.
Club founder Chris Green said: “We want businesses to talk up the city’s vibrant economy and spread the word about what a great place it is in which to live, work and do business.
“Cities like Manchester, Liverpool and London talk a good game but this region has a great story to tell. Birmingham has the fastest growing rate of start up businesses outside London, the youngest population of any major UK city, is still the beating heart of the country’s manufacturing industry and is the most popular venue for business conferencing outside the capital.”
Mr Green’s own business career began at Rover’s Longbridge car factory before he moved into journalism and most recently media consultancy with his own company, Chris Green Media.
“We want Birmingham businesses to make 2016 their breakthrough year,” he added. “Everything starts with a plan and the theme of our October meeting is shaping a communications plan to help them achieve their goals.”
The ‘Bang the drum for Brum’ meeting runs at Longbridge Innovation Centre, Devon Way, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. For more details and to book a place, call 01905 453908 or email info@chrisgreenmedia.co.uk
