Duncan Edwards Tribute

CGM handles PR and social media for the Duncan Edwards Tribute, whose aim is to ensure that the Manchester United and England footballer is always remembered and treasured in his home town of Dudley and the wider Black Country region.

Included in the tribute programme so far are two successful exhibitions at Dudley Archives and Local History Centre, three gala dinners at the Copthorne Hotel in Dudley, an educational heritage package created in conjunction with staff and pupils at Duncan’s old school Priory Primary and books entitled Duncan Edwards – Black Country Boy to Red Devil and Duncan Edwards – The Championship Years 1955-57.

In October 2021 the Duncan Edwards Peace Pitch was unveiled at The Dell Stadium in Brierley Hill in conjunction with the National Children’s Football Alliance and Dudley Council.

The Duncan Edwards Tribute has had extensive media coverage courtesy of ITV Central News, BBC Midlands Today, BBC Radio WM, Black Country Radio, Express and Star, Dudley Chronicle, Dudley News, Stourbridge News, Waitrose Weekend Magazine, Tifo Football, Black Country Bugle and the Manchester United FC matchday programme.
