Worcester’s oldest law firm HallmarkHulme has strengthened its business team by appointing a senior lawyer as head of employment.

Claire Cole arrives at the 224-year-old practice following six years with major international law firm Ashurst in the City of London and eight years as senior employment counsel for logistics giant DHL.

Mrs Cole, originally from Birmingham, will offer advice on a wide range of specialist areas including workplace restructuring, TUPE, employment tribunal litigation, employment contracts and policies, restrictive covenants, trade union and employee consultation and settlement agreements.

“I enjoy the challenge of working with clients to achieve practical, workable solutions to the employment law issues they face. Employment law is complex and I know from experience that clients want advice that is straightforward, pragmatic and commercially focused,” she said.

“I am really looking forward to working with HallmarkHulme’s existing clients and bringing new clients on board.”

HallmarkHulme’s managing partner Rebecca Widdowson added: “I’m delighted to welcome Claire to the team to drive our employment law offering forward. Over the coming months she will be planning a series of seminars to help our clients navigate through the difficult HR and employment law issues they face on a day to day basis.”
