05 Jan CGM Business Media Club comes to Birmingham
A thriving media club which offers networking with a purpose is launching in Birmingham this month.
Managed by Worcester-based all-round communications company, Chris Green Media (CGM), the CGM Business Media Club combines media training, personal development and quality networking.
The club was successfully launched in CGM’s home city 15 months ago and has enthusiastic members from a range of professions, inspiring the New Year launch of a second club.
A free introductory meeting will be held at Longbridge Innovation Centre on Friday, January 23 between 9.30am and 12.30pm. The theme of the first meeting will be ‘ten top communications tips to boost your business,’ presented by CGM managing director Chris Green, an award-winning author and broadcaster.
Mr Green said: “The club is a great way for business people to learn new skills and share best practice among like-minded professionals. My own business career began directly opposite the Innovation Centre as a 16-year-old commercial apprentice at the Longbridge car factory when 25,000 people worked here.
“After leaving the motor industry, I retrained as a broadcast journalist and returning as a media trainer and coach with my own company will be something of an emotional homecoming.”
Each CGM Business Media Club meeting features a media, marketing and communications themed presentation followed by an interactive feedback session including a discussion and chance to share thoughts and experiences. Members are also given strategic Take Action tasks to test or integrate into their businesses and can choose the next meeting theme.
