08 Jul CGM blog: Key C’s to quality communications
To unlock the door to successful communications you need to include three key C’s in your messaging as often as possible.
1. Clarity
If it confuses, it loses. Unless you have a clear, unambiguous message, you won’t get the core of what you want to say across and will fail to connect with the people you aim to reach.
If your audience is confused, they won’t know how to react or know what you want them to do – be it to buy, vote, supply, like or agree.
2. Consistency
We all value consistency and reliability in life – whether it is buying a chocolate bar or relying on a valued professional service.
Consistent messaging is the backbone of all good relationship and character building. You don’t have to say the same thing repeatedly but you do need to say it with the same spirit and quality and be linguistically light on your feet, using different words that have the same meaning.
3. Credibility
Anyone can shout from the rooftops but while empty vessels make most noise they usually fail to compete with a message packed with belief, values and meaning.
You also need to show an extra C – character. Knowledge, trust, respect and, more than ever, empathy, understanding and humility are crucial.
So how do you go about making your messaging meaningful?
At CGM we don’t just deliver random services for our clients. We inspire and enable them to get word perfect via media planning and media and comms training.
We develop strategies that work across all forms – not just written or spoken word in PR and comms but design, graphics, digital marketing, video and photography.
Everything that is front facing about your business is delivered by a team you can trust in a coherent, coordinated and interconnected way.
It’s time to take a fresh look at Chris Green Media. We’ll be unveiling our new website to celebrate ten years of outstanding communications soon and launching a new range of media training webinars this autumn. Watch this space…
