17 May Business Media Club blog: Do you have a two minute tale to tell?
“I sculpt cars but now I want to shape my own crafts business.”
“My brother died in a disaster so now I want to set up a charity for people who have lost siblings.”
“I run an ethical accountancy practice because I believe in sustainability.”
We all have a story to tell – but not everyone can cut to the chase to tell it well.
The words above are just a few from among our regular Business Media Club attendees.
Short and sweet, they stand out and gain our attention. From those opening salvos, we ‘get’ what they are saying and want to find out more.
Words are fine but how do you lift them off the page and into audio visual content? One way is to create what is known as user generated content.
Every day many of us scroll one quarter of a mile with our thumbs while seeking fresh content on social media.
Often we get stuck in echo chambers seeking affirmation for views like ours. At other times our eyes are drawn to images that make us stop, stare and want to interact in a positive way.
We usually have a short online attention span and to capture attention you need to stand out and keep it brief. Moving images matter and video content attracts significantly more views than static content.
In this month’s Business Media Club, we’re going to actually help you tell your own video two-minute tale. We’ll provide the recipe, you send us the ingredients and we’ll bake your cake so you end up with a video two-minute tale that you can use to promote your business.
A catch? Not really. All we ask for in exchange is a video testimonial.
Better still, we’ll make it easy peasy. No fancy equipment needed, just a smidgeon of imagination and modicum of effort.
Everything will be broken down to bite-sized chunks. We’ll help provide a brief to help you find the right words and deliver them effectively so you can promote your originality, authenticity, mission, vision and values.
