On the ball accountants Ormerod Rutter have added a major new player in the sport industry to their client portfolio.

The firm, who have offices in Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove, are providing audit and taxation advice to Fleet Street Sport & Media Group, whose chairman is former Republic of Ireland striker Niall Quinn MBE.

Based in London and operating nationwide, the consultancy offers guidance and support for agents, players, clubs and owners on issues including player welfare, brand enhancement and marketing. It is also setting up a new charity, Fleet Street Foundation, which aims to prevent footballers developing drug, alcohol and financial problems.

“Fleet Street Sport & Media Group director Bijan Sedghi is a long-standing client and we are delighted to support him and his partners in this new venture,” said Mr Ormerod.

Mr Quinn added: “This is a really exciting time for Fleet Street Sport & Media Group and we want to ensure we have the best possible support. Ormerod Rutter understands what we are trying to achieve and we are pleased to have them on board.”

Founded more than 30 years ago, Ormerod Rutter provides a wide range of services to businesses and individuals including corporate finance, auditing and bookkeeping.
