Organisers of charity dance extravaganza Strictly Worcestershire are confident it will be a sell-out with more than 620 tickets already sold.

After a stunning debut in 2014, the sophisticated fund-raiser will be staged at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich Spa on Thursday, May 21. Profits will be split between the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign and Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.

The contestant line-up is now complete with eight couples poised to battle it out for the glitterball trophy.

Recent recruits are former Worcestershire Ambassadors chairman Granville Orange and Julie Worsfold; Wyre Forest based GPs Dr Simon and Dr Sally Rumley; Bekki Normoyle, director of Angel Hands Childcare and Adrian Harker, supply development controller of Worcester Bosch Logistics, and Premier Places director Julia Williams and Dan Lewis, joint owner of DCL Window Cleaning.

They’ll be joining Free Radio DJ Hursty and Laura Bligh of Peach Recruitment; Dave and Sue Connellan, directors of Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic; Nick Sandy, director of accountants Richards Sandy Partnership, and his wife Julia, tax and trusts manager with law firm Thursfields.

Presenters on the night will be BBC Hereford and Worcester broadcaster Andrew Easton and Caron Steele, who won last year’s competition with husband Mark.
