Worcester’s oldest law firm HallmarkHulme has retained its prestigious Lexcel status.

The Sansome Place-based practice, which is 224 years old, secured the Law Society’s quality mark following a rigorous assessment process and on site visit from an experienced Lexcel assessor.

Designed specifically for the legal profession, the Lexcel scheme gives assurance that a practice meets high standards of client care and business management.

Managing partner Rebecca Widdowson said:  “We’re delighted to have retained this accolade, though it is our clients who are the main beneficiaries as they can feel confident that the practice runs efficiently and has their interests at heart.

“Since achieving Lexcel status in 2013, the practice has gone from strength to strength, expanding to deal with increasing demand from both existing and new clients.”

Andrew Caplen, president of the Law Society of England and Wales, added: “By undergoing the Lexcel application and assessment process, practices can show the practical steps they are taking to help clients in an increasingly diverse legal services market.”

HallmarkHulme is among 1,500 legal practices across England and Wales to receive Lexcel accreditation.
