Luxury Herefordshire event venue Lemore Manor is hosting a fund-raising ladies lunch on Friday, May 9 to celebrate the launch of breast cancer survivor Tracey Jacob’s first book.

Inspired by her own experience and the loss of her mother to the same illness, Mrs Jacob will donate all proceeds from Dot’s Ditties, a collection of hilarious and heart-warming poems about everyday life, to the Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign and is hoping to raise £20,000.

Margaret Owen, owner of Lemore Manor, said: “Tracey has been a good friend of the family for many years and her poems will resonate with everyone from children to parents, women at work and at home and their husbands or partners.

“This event, which we’ve called Therapy, Lunch and Fizz, will be the first of a series of ladies lunches and networking events at Lemore over the coming months.”

Tickets for the day-long event cost £55 and include a two course lunch, a glass of fizz and a 30 minute treatment in the Eardisley venue’s new therapy suite. Guests can also play grass badminton, croquet or outdoor chess or relax in the hot tub.

Mrs Jacob, who lives at Knightwick, near Worcester, will give a half-hour talk, including readings from her book, at 2pm. If guests’ time is limited, lunch is available for £25.

For more information or to reserve a place, call Margaret Owen on 01981 501198.
